With Sound SHD stream, yes it is possible to pair Bluetooth hearing aids with the Stream remote app on up to two phones. Whichever phone the hearing aids are actively connected to will receive phone call audio. We recommend only using the Stream remote app on the primary phone to prevent confusion. With Sound XC and AQ sound XC powered by EXCITE, Sound XC Pro and AQ sound XC Pro powered by EXCITE Pro you can only pair the hearing aids to one phone.
Two of the three devices listed will connect the hearing aids to the Stream remote app. The third one will enable the user to receive phone calls directly on the phone.
This is a normal process for Bluetooth connectivity when pairing for the first time. You may see the words ‘Hands-free’ or a series of numbers in the form of xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx. After a few seconds, the name of the hearing aids will be displayed.
This is normal. The Bluetooth hearing aids use Bluetooth Classic with the Hands-free profile (HFP) for phone calls and A2DP for media streaming.
Once hearing aids are paired to the phone, a connection beep will be heard signaling that the pairing has been successful. Connection status will be displayed in the Bluetooth menu of the phone.
The Sound SHD stream Bluetooth wireless hearing aids use different kinds of wireless technology to connect to different devices. For connecting to a mobile phone, the hearing aid uses Bluetooth Classic which allows for streaming telephone audio to only one ear (Hand Free Profile HFP). The TV Connector uses AirStream™ technology, allowing streaming to two hearing aids simultaneously.

Flight mode is when Bluetooth is turned off while hearing aids are on. In this mode, hearing aids will not connect to the mobile phone, tablet or computer.

This type of hearing aid is exempted from the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) evaluation which shows that the hearing aids fall significantly below the recommendations from both the European Commission and the United States.
Usually the Bluetooth hearing aids will connect to the Bluetooth device directly during the pairing process. However, sometimes other Bluetooth devices ask you for a PIN code. If asked, the PIN code is 0000 (4 zeros).
